Nutrition Division - Meal Delivery Driver

JOB SUMMARY: Assist in meal preparation and packaging. Deliver meals to eligible clients according to program procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to read and comprehend instructions and Agency/Program policies and procedures.

Transportation: Must have safe and reliable transportation. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License. Must maintain acceptable driving record and automobile insurance sufficient to meet Agency Liability Insurance Carrier requirements. Documentation is required.

WAGE: Part-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt position and wages will be based upon education and experience.

Director of Community Initiatives

JOB SUMMARY: The Community Initiatives Director is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of the Agency’s Community Action Plan and Community Services Block Grant workplans to improve existing services and develop strategies to further the Agency’s anti-poverty mission. This position supervises a team of 4 to 5 project leads.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Post-Secondary Degree in Non Profit Administration or Social Services related field preferred. High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: Two-year supervisory experience required. Must have excellent writing, communication, and computer skills. Valid driver's license required.

WAGE: Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt position and wages will be based upon education and experience.

Weatherization - Tech 1

JOB SUMMARY: Position performs home weatherization and energy assistance services to eligible consumers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

● Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

● Must possess strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft programs (word, excel) and be able to quickly learn specialized program software.

● On the job training required including in-service and off-site training including overnight when necessary.

● Must demonstrate tolerance and respect for diversity in accordance with the Agency’s mission.

● Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

● Must maintain acceptable driving record and automobile insurance sufficient to meet Agency Liability Insurance Carrier requirements.

Head Start - Health Specialist (Part-Time)

JOB SUMMARY: Maintains compliance of health standards as determined by the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Ohio Department of Public Health, Head Start Performance Standards, and HARCATUS Head Start Policy and Procedures. Works under the direction of the Health/Nutrition Manager to accomplish common goals related to health. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: (1) A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required. 

Experience: Training and/or work experience with pediatric children ages 0-5 is preferred. Must have excellent writing, communication, and computer skills. Valid driver's license required.

Head Start - Early Head Start Home Visitor

JOB SUMMARY: Provide child development knowledge, parent education and family support to families of infants, toddlers, preschoolers and expectant mothers. Home Visitors will develop consistent, stable and supportive relationships with children and families being served. The Home Visitor will provide home visits and group socialization activities that promote secure parent-child relationships and help parents provide high-quality early learning experiences that support the child’s cognitive, social, emotional, language, literacy, and physical development. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: (1) A home-based CDA or comparable credential or equivalent coursework as part of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree and demonstrates competency to plan and implement the home visiting curriculum and promoting child progress across the standards described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework. If credential is not in place at hire, employee will be enrolled in Home Based Child Development Associate or comparable credential that meets or exceeds the requirements, and obtain the certification within two years of hire. (2) A credential or certification in social work, human services, counseling, family services, or a related field. If credential or certification is not in place at hire, employee will be enrolled in a credential or certification program and obtain the credential or certification within eighteen months of hire. 

Experience: One-year experience in child development and early childhood education, working with children ages birth to five, adult learning and family dynamics including knowledge of community resources and skill to link families with appropriate agencies and service preferred. 

WAGE: Full-time Non-Exempt position and wages will be based upon education and experience.

Head Start - Teacher

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for planning, implementation, and management of the Head Start Center, including Site Administrator as required Job

and Family Services Child Care Licensing Rules and Regulation. Supervises all center enrollees and adults. Participates in a team process to implement the Head Start Program and maintain compliance of the performance standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: A baccalaureate or advanced degree in early childhood education or a baccalaureate or advanced degree and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education, with experience teaching preschool-age children preferred. An associate degree in early childhood education; or an associate degree in a related field and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education, with experience teaching preschool-age children; or a baccalaureate degree and has been admitted into the Teach For America program, passed a rigorous early childhood content exam, such as the Praxis II, participated in a Teach For America summer training institute that includes teaching preschool children, and is receiving ongoing professional development and support from Teach For America's professional staff required.

Experience: Two years teaching preschool children and supervising staff in a pre-school program or equivalent preferred.

WAGE: Full-time Exempt position and wages will be based upon education and experience.

Head Start - Program Site Assistant

JOB SUMMARY: Assist Teacher and Teaching Assistant in providing a nurturing learning environment for preschool children through high quality individual and group activities. Assist the Health Manager in monitoring health screenings. Work to support Teacher toward common goals in the areas of Education, Health, Mental Health and Disabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Working with 3-5-year-old children. Experience working with children with disabilities preferred.

WAGE: Full-time Hourly Non-Exempt position and wages will be based upon education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must have at a minimum a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or a state-awarded certificate that meets or exceeds the requirements for a CDA credential, or are enrolled in a program that will lead to an associate or baccalaureate degree or, are enrolled in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of the time of hire. 

Experience: Experience working with 3-5 year olds in a pre-school program or equivalent preferred.
